Mannjal's founders ran partnership lending from the inside and built the infrastructure they wished existed.
Mannjal means Turmeric.
Turmeric is a catalyst for good. It strengthens what it touches and adds value without ever needing to be the main ingredient. That is the role we set out to play.
What we are trying to catalyse is good lending. Productive credit that reaches the businesses and households that can put it to work. The name keeps us close to that, and close to home.
Between them, the founders have structured co-lending and partnership arrangements from the inside, across lending, financial services, capital markets, and the technology underneath.
Prashant has spent two decades building and scaling lending and payments infrastructure in India. He has been part of founding teams, held senior roles at Capital Float, PwC and Accenture, and built a payments company that was acquired by CRED. A Stanford and LSE graduate, he started Mannjal to solve the problem he saw repeatedly from both sides of the table.
Aman has spent more than two decades across capital markets, treasury and partnership lending. He built co-lending programs at Capital Float and later scaled partnership programs for leading NBFCs and fintechs. A Georgia Tech graduate and Chartered Accountant, he started Mannjal to simplify execution between lenders and originators.
Harshit has spent more than a decade building scalable fintech platforms, mentoring engineering teams and architecting cloud-native, secure and compliant systems. His experience includes smallcase and Hasura. He started Mannjal for the challenge of building a network that brought together usability, security, compliance, configurability and speed.
Advisor
Dr. Subbarao brings over four decades of experience in advisory and consulting. He founded KPMG's consulting practice in India and later led Deloitte's Financial Services practice. He founded a knowledge management company and actively manages it.
The investors behind Mannjal know lending and fintech from the inside. Their conviction is a signal in its own right, alongside the capital.
